Jan Vaněček

Hello and welcome to my webpage. This site is focused mainly on design, architecture and construction and is basically my personal portfolio. It was created to present my ideas and show most of the projects and designs I did during my studies and professional practice.

I am finishing Master’s Engineering Studies at the Czech Technical University, department of Architecture in Prague, where I have been developing my knowledge and abilities essential for that profession. The specialization I have chosen – Architecture and Construction is a new branch and have given me a good knowledge of architecture and design, building constructions, structural engineering, building services which is a great base for today architecture. I also thought about getting experience and developing my abilities abroad, so I took part in the Erasmus Programme. I studied in Denmark for two semesters at Vitus Bering college, department of Constructing Architecture. That possibility have given me further knowledge on construction and understanding a building structure as well as detail drawings and a lot of experience in working in an international group, communicating in English and being independent.

Currently in fifth year of study
2004 – one year study period Erasmus
2004-2005 - Vitus Bering College, Horsens, Denmark, branch of study: constructing architect
